After four years, Death Cab for Cutie is releasing another album on March 31, 2015. This is in spite of Chris Walla’s announcement of leaving the band.
Their 8th album is entitled “Kintsugi”, which is the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery by incorporating gold, silver or platinum making it even more pretty than it originally was. It may be a metaphor for always turning out to be better after being damaged or broken by unexpected life events. Their song No Room In Frame gives off this feels.
With the songs Black Sun released as the first single from the album followed by their performance of No room in frame and The Ghosts of Beverly Drive, the album looks promising, don’t you think?
