Last week, me and my best bud from Japan went to Republic Wake Park in Nuvali to try Wake boarding. Phoebe is a dear friend to me and even though we see each other less than 5 days a year, our friendship remains strong thanks to social media like Facebook. We can still connect with each other even though she is in Japan and I’m here in the Philippines.
So on with wake boarding. This was a spur of the moment decision; one that was not really planned with careful detail. She just said “Lets go wake boarding!” and me, being the ever “karen” (kaladkaren) friend, said yes without further ado. We “google-ed” how to get to Nuvali, Laguna. One option was in Makati where there is a pick up point going straight to nuvali. There is a fixed time when the shuttle will leave. Being the always late and “naligaw” person that we are, we missed that shuttle. Phoebe decided to meet up in Ortigas station, MRT cause according to our research, there is a shuttle to Laguna near the area. We met at Ortigas station around 7am.
Edit: The shuttle is located in buendia and not near the MRT as many people assume. We made that same mistake also.
After small chit chats and exchange of pleasantries, we decided to check the net for our possible route to Laguna. According to the site that we found, the shuttle could be found in Starmall. We had to go back another station, (Shaw station) to get there.
We decided to meet in Makati, then went to Ortigas, then at Shaw station. imagine the wasted time and effort because we didn’t plan our trip well. I guess that’s the fun part though. Getting lost and not knowing where to go and relying on your instincts. I guess that is also part of the journey. 🙂 (more…)
