Being a 90’s kid, its only natural that I grow up being a Disney baby. Fond memories of watching Disney Show on Ice show at Araneta Coliseum with my parents every Christmas had been a tradition back then. I also remember how I cried at the cinema when Mufasa died. (who didnt?) That scene scarred me to forever and up to this day it still haunts me. Another scene that I bawled my eyes out is the death of Bambi’s mother. Well, enough of the devastating ones. Of course the wonderful memories with Disney characters outweigh the sad ones. Disney films will always have a place in my heart. They made me see through life differently and it does not hurt to believe in magic in our everyday life. They made me dream dreams and reach for them little by little. After all, “a dream is a wish your heart makes” so wish away!
Imagine my delight when last year when I got to visit Tokyo Disneyland! I really felt like I was a child again as fond memories keep coming back every time I see a Disney character I adored when I was little. I literally cried during the parade of characters! Disneyland made be believe that there really is magic. It is a place for the young and old. (more…)
