As with every passing year, there are always smooth and rough times. Each year that passes, teaches us lessons and makes us stronger and wiser. There are no perfect year but its always up to us to make the most of whatever challenges that we encounter. This blogpost contains the highlights of my 2013.
7 – 11 PRAYER AND FASTING 2013
Started the year with Prayer and Fasting to reflect and set faith goals for the rest of the year. I was blessed to have a chance to start the year right. I was sent on a 2 week vacation because I was suspected to have chicken pox the week of the fast. It had been a blessing in disguise as I was able to attend church because I was working from home.

23 – Baler with officemates
Went to baler for the second time. 🙂 I really love baler. Its simple and mysterious beauty, the quiet lifestyle, the rustic appeal, everything. I want to have a vacation house there.
20 – Reunion with High School Friends (Zel, Ana and Jeca with Dah, Mong and AJ)
After high school, April 20 marks the date that I got to meet my High School friends, Ana and Jeca, with the exception of Prinzel who I got to meet regularly.
One of the best birthdays ever!! 🙂 I don’t usually celebrate my birthday. Its always just a simple celebration with family. We just eat out and that’s it but this year was different. It became a month-long celebration. 🙂

4 – Birthday Celebration at home
First birthday party at home after a long time. Shared it with HS friends, College friends, family and officemates.
11 – Anawangin with Officemates
First camping / beach trip. The island does not have electricity. You have to survive using primitive ways, (okay I’m exaggerating )
17 – 20 Ilocos with JAYNVYL
Ilocos trip with college friends to celebrate Ariane and Clarence’s anniversary. Went with Yow, Ariane and Clarence. Another item on my bucket list ticked off, Yowie became my girlfriend / boyfriend for the entirety of the trip.
May 30 – June 2 Boracay with cousins
Boracay with sister and cousin. Was supposed to celebrate the birthday of my godson but unfortunately, He got sick before the trip and was hospitalized. 🙁 Enjoyed it still with the company of my cousins though.Second time to go to Boracay. So much has changed since the first time I went there.
29 – First birthday of Baby Khloe
First baby in the JAYNVYL’s first birthday (group name of my college friends. Came from the initials of our names. JC, Ariane, Yowie, Nikka, Vani, Yza and Lee ). We helped Nikka set up the place for Khloe’s birthday. We had fun and missed being a kid. It’s nice to have friends that you know you will treasure for the rest of your life.
29 – Birthday celebration of Ana at Tides shaw
After Khloe’s birthday celebration in bulacan, went to Tides shaw for the birthday celebration of my dear friend, Ana.

Bowling tournament with Bancomer peeps every Saturday of the month
First ever bowling tournament. I was invited by my former projectmates to join their team. I had so much fun during the tournament and was able to hone my bowling skills (If ever I have any. lol)
13 – Wakeboarding with Phoebe
Being based in Japan, I seldom see my dear friend, Phoebe. So whenever she visits the Philippines, we make the most of her stay here. I had a post about this which can be found here.
8 – Anilao roadtrip
Because of the stressful workload at the office, me and my officemates decided to go on a badly needed weekend trip. We decided to board a bus going to Batangas and do whatever we can once were there. We had no actual plan and ended up going on a snorkeling trip.
28 – Huddle Up – Blessed to Bless
On September 28, Me and My Bible Study group in the office decided to share the blessings we received. We chose to conduct a short program for the kids of Alay Pag-asa Christian Foundation. The smile on the kids’ faces were priceless. It was worth it all.
25 – Celebration of winnings from 2012 Resources Christmas Party @ Greenfield district
After how many months had passed, the long awaited celebration took place. I was inspired by GJ’s love story. It was a God centered relationship. I wish that I will have something like that too someday.
2 – 3 Pampanga brainstorm with team All-Stars
Brainstorming with Team All Stars. I am so privileged to be part of this group. Surrounded by people having a common goal and the desire to achieve it as soon as possible.
15 – Greenlight Music Festival
Happened a week after the landfall of Typhoon Yolanda. came from Red Cross and ABS-CBN to volunteer. After that, we dropped by Greenfield District for the Greenlight Music Festival. First time to watch Up Dharma Down up close!! I was at front. I love Arme to bits!! She’s so pretty. Also saw Save Me Hollywood. Julz is one hot rock chic. I love it when she performs on stage. The energy is infectious.
7 – Sister’s Debut @ Tramway, Shaw
Monica’s 18th birthday at Tramway, Shaw. It was supposed to be a simple celebration but one thing led to another. It was attended by over 50 persons. Being surrounded by family and friends is priceless!
9 – Resources IG Rakista Christmas Party
It was nice to mingle with colleagues outside our project. I had so much fun with these bunch. Eclectic, energetic, creative and funny people. We went home as the champions of the Rakista contest. My last win on a Christmas party was during my previous project two years ago. The feeling was awesome. The hardwork, blood, sweat and tears really paid off.
10 – 12 Mentor’s Development Seminar @ Boso Boso Resort
3 n 2 d all-expense paid leadership training from my sideline, CH. I was sick during the entirety of the training and was having second thoughts if I will attend but went through with it any way. Best decision! I learned so many things during the training and was even praised by the instructor. She said that she is expecting great things from me. (The pressure! -__-) It was a fun, informative and fruitful training overall.
14 – CH Yearend party @ Mariott Hotel, Resorts World Pasay
One of the highlights of 2013! receiving a recognition at a 5 star hotel, being surrounded by humble millionaires and rubbing elbows with them, being called the next generation of millionares, being with the best team ever, this night is definitely special! one of the best! thank you Lord for the blessings and the opportunity! Forever grateful to your Grace!
21 – Rakrakan Festival
No pictures of the bands available. 🙁 I was supposed to bring my camera but had second thoughts because it rained that afternoon. Used my crappy cellphone camera to no avail. :((

22 – Mt. Romelo Climb
Wasn’t able to finish the concert because I have a scheduled climb the next day. First time to almost faint during a climb. I literally saw black spots on the corner of my eyes. My companions said that I was so pale that they thought I would collapse. So thankful to ocean minerals. Placed a couple of drops in my water bottle and after a while was back on my feet again. Note to self: never plan strenuous activities simultaneously.
2013, I now bid you adieu! Thank you for the wonderful memories and lessons learned. You made me stronger. 2014, Bring it on!!
